On January 16th and 17th, the city of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, hosted the Opening of the 2026 Masonic Year of the Grand Orient of Brazil (GOB), held in an atmosphere of harmony, fraternity, and a profound sense of belonging. The event transcended its ceremonial nature, becoming a significant moment of renewal, reflection, and reaffirmation of the principles that have guided our Order throughout the centuries. Collectively, we renewed our commitment to building a more just, compassionate, and ethical society. The Inter-American Masonic Confederation (CMI) was represented by Executive Secretary Rubens Ricardo Franz, who conveyed the CMI's institutional message commemorating its 80th anniversary, expressing his emotion and gratitude for participating in such a significant milestone for Freemasonry. May this new year find us even stronger, more enlightened, and more committed to the great work for the benefit of humanity.
