Our Mission
The Inter-American Masonic Confederation (CMI), founded on April 14, 1947, brings together 94 Grand Masonic Jurisdictions across 26 countries in the Americas and Europe. With nearly half a million members, we promote unity, understanding, and inter-American cooperation to enrich Universal Freemasonry. Our Objectives • Promote unity and mutual collaboration among all Regular Grand Jurisdictions of the Confederation, fostering the comprehensive prestige of Freemasonry. • Coordinate the Masonic action of the Confederated Grand Jurisdictions regarding issues of common interest, respecting the principle of sovereignty and non-intervention in the internal affairs of each. • Contribute to national and international efforts in the defense of freedom, human rights, justice, truth, the preservation of peace, solidarity, environmental protection, and genuine collaboration among the peoples of the Americas and the rest of the world. • Establish the foundations for the constant and systematic strengthening, consolidation, and development of Masonic education and teaching as the most effective means to achieve the supreme goal of the Universalist Masonic Ideal. • Promote the creation of paramasonic, cultural, and humanitarian entities whose aims and objectives align with those of the CMI. • Foster and sustain the spirit and awareness of solidarity, fraternity, and participation among paramasonic youth, women’s, and other organizations aligned with the objectives of the CMI, encouraging them to take part in activities that promote the socioeconomic progress of their communities. • Vision and Strategic Commitment: In a constantly evolving world, the CMI drives an innovative institutional model that integrates Ibero-American Freemasonry and, by extension, Universal Freemasonry. We adapt our operational processes to new information technologies and encourage the active collaboration of all members to generate tangible benefits for the Masonic community, their families, and society at large.
